SOUND HEALING

What is a Gong Bath?

A Gong Bath uses healing gong sounds and frequencies to bring about healing and wellbeing. Despite the name, there is no water involved — you simply lie down and bathe in sound.

Gong and sound therapy have been practised for thousands of years and are reputed to have wide-ranging health benefits. Heart rate and respiration slow as the parasympathetic nervous system is activated, supporting improved digestion, sleep, and immune functioning.

Sound frequencies work on a cellular level and are reported to support anxiety, stress, depression, and the release of emotional blockages. More recently, scientific evidence has begun to suggest that certain forms of sound may prompt DNA strands to repair themselves.

Carmen is a College of Sound Healing–trained Gong Practitioner, approved by the Complementary Medical Association (CMA) and the Therapeutic Sound Association (TSA) — ensuring a professional, heart-centred standard of sound healing.
